  • Incorrect connection

Both Peloton Bike and Bike+ have more than 1 plug, so if you plug them in the wrong place or in the wrong way, you won’t be able to turn them on.

Make sure your Peloton Bike is plugged into an electrical outlet. If you notice that the plug is still loose, you should press it with pressure so that it can be plugged in properly. Until you see the green light on the power adapter, you’ll know if you do it correctly.

Also, you should have a look at the base of Peloton Bike to check if it is connected yet. After you have done the above steps and still do not see the Peloton Bike power up, you should change to another outlet.

Power requirements

If your outlet has a lower rating of electricity, it will not be enough to turn on the Peloton Bike. Check out the power requirements for your Peloton equipment: 100V to 240V, 50Hz to 60Hz, 3.25 A Max.

In addition, you should not let the plug underneath the Peloton Bike, near a puddle or anywhere you can easily sweat down and accidentally spill water on. This will cause an electrical short, which is very dangerous.

Power cycle

Unplug the power cable and wait for 30 seconds to 1 minute, then plug it back in. You have to do this because you may use the Peloton Bike for too long without turning them off, causing the power socket to flicker or you don’t fully insert them many times.

Check if the connector of the screen on the back of it is properly connected or not. You can apply light pressure to it to ensure that it is fully inserted.

Cable condition

If you still can’t turn on your Peloton Bike, your next step should be checking the connection of the cable to both the touchscreen and inside the frame of the Peloton Bike. You should unplug the power cable, both of the monitor cable connectors, and connect the power adapter cable directly to the touchscreen’s power jack. Then you turn on your screen again and wait till the usual greeting screen appears. If it doesn’t, reach out to Member Support.

One of the differences between Peloton Bike+ and the regular version is that it has a white light on every time you start the machine. If you don’t see it or it flashes continuously, try plugging the device into a more stable outlet. If it is still unable to fix, contact the Peloton Support Team for further assistance.

Check if the USB-C connection is plugged in in the correct place which is on the middle port on the back of the touchscreen. If you have it plugged in, again apply a light pressure to make sure it’s fully inserted.

Check out whether the cable above the brake shroud is plugged in the top port or not. If it is connected, again apply a light pressure to make sure it’s fully inserted.

Check out whether the USB-C on the inside right of the frame beneath the ‘N’ on the Peloton logo is connected or not. If it is connected, again apply a light pressure to make sure it’s fully inserted.

Power requirements are the same as from Peloton Bike which are 100V to 240V, 50Hz to 60Hz, and 3.25 A Max. Also, there are some notes that you should pay attention to, scroll up to read them again.

Power cycle + Homing

Firstly, you disconnect the power cable, unplug the power cable, and wait a maximum of 10 minutes until the white light on the power cable is off. After that, you should remove the rubber grommet and reconnect the power cable and power your Peloton Bike+ on.

If you don’t hear any sound and the brake seems not to move after that, you may want to call the Peloton Support Member Team. Before that, you should do the final check as a step below this.

Touchscreen power

You unplug the power cable connected at the base and within the middle port (after rotating your screen). Then, you connect the USB-C connection to the power port on the touchscreen, turn on your Bike+ again and you’ll see the screen of error code X0101. Don’t worry, you are doing it right.

Now you just have to reconnect the Bike+ to its original configuration and contact to Peloton Member Support Team for the next step.
